Las bolsas europeas abrieron el viernes al alza, lideradas por el sector bancario mientras los inversores aguardan los datos del PIB del cuarto trimestre de 2009 en Estados Unidos para evaluar la salud de la economía global.
A las 08:12 GMT, el índice paneuropeo FTSEurofirst 300 de principales valores subía un 0,8 por ciento a 1.009,32 puntos tras haber cerrado la sesión previa en su peor nivel en siete semanas.
"Aunque hoy podríamos ver algún tipo de rebote, creo que los problemas están todavía ahí", dijo Philippe Gijsels, estratega de bolsa de Fortis Bank.
"Aún tenemos la situación con Grecia y el problema está virando a Portugal. Obama también está trayendo mucha ansiedad, aunque Bernanke fue reelegido, lo que ha despejado algo de incertidumbre".
Ayer, el Senado de Estados Unidos respaldó a el presidente de la Fed, Ben Bernanke, para un segundo mandato al frente del banco central.
Los bancos estaban entre las principales subidas. HSBC, Banco Santander, BNP Paribas y Royal Bank of Scotland ganaban entre un 0,6 y un 1,9 por ciento.
Las energéticas también subían. BG Group, BP, Royal Dutch Shell y Total subían de un 0,6 a un 1,3 por ciento.
A las 13:30 GMT, los inversores prestarán atención a los datos del PIB de EEUU para el cuarto trimestre. Un sondeo elaborado por Reuters espera que el PIB suba un 4,6 por ciento en tasa interanual, desde el 2,2 por ciento en el tercer trimestre.
