La Asociación Empresarial de Agencias de Viajes Españolas (AEDAVE) ha solicitado al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente "flexibilidad" en la aplicación de la Ley de Costas para evitar la erradicación de los chiringuitos ubicados en las playas españolas.
El presidente de AEDAVE, José Manuel Maciñeiras, ha explicado que "este tipo de establecimientos forman parte de la estampa tradicional del turismo de sol y playa en España".
En su opinión, "los chiringuitos son una parte intrínseca del veraneo en las playas y una imagen asociada a la costa que los turistas no están dispuestos a renunciar".
También incide en que supondría la supresión de centenares de puestos de trabajo y por ello reclama la creación de una mesa conjunta con los ayuntamientos y los empresarios.
