La Asociación de Fruticultores de Extremadura, las organizaciones agrarias ASAJA Badajoz, COAG Extremadura, UPA-UCE y la Unión Extremeña de Cooperativas Agrarias (UNEXCA) tirarán mañana varios remolques de frutas en tres centrales hortofrutícolas ante la imposibilidad de darle salida por el paro de los transportistas.
Según informó AFRUEX en una nota a Efe, con este acto, en el que además se dará lectura a un comunicado conjunto, se quiere protestar además por los daños económicos y comerciales causados por este paro.
El acto de protesta tendrá lugar a las 11.30 horas en la Agrupación de Cooperativas del Valle del Jerte, en Valdastillas (Cáceres); en la de Cooperativa CREX en Valdivia (Badajoz) y en la de Frutos Caval, en Valdelacalzada (Badajoz).
Además, se ha convocado un paro temporal en las centrales hortofrutícolas de Extremadura para mañana, al que se sumarán los agricultores en la recolección de fruta.
Las organizaciones han pedido reuniones al presidente de la Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara; al consejero de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, Juan María Vázquez, entre otras, para abordar los "gravísimos daños que se están registrando en el sector y que supondrán la desaparición en unos días de gran parte del mismo".
Según estas fuentes, diariamente se están registrando en Extremadura pérdidas por importe de 4,5 millones de euros y de 3,2 millones de kilos de fruta al no poder darle salida.
La situación se agrava con otros daños que se están produciendo, como los sanitarios en las plantaciones si la fruta no se recolecta, y de producción y rendimiento si se le deja madurar en el árbol.
Además, se prevén problemas en el mercado por una posible saturación de fruta tras el retraso actual, y la pérdida de cliente y mercado si se tiene en cuenta que el 80 por ciento de la producción extremeña de fruta es para la exportación.
