El fabricante aeronáutico europeo Airbus asegura que no tiene intención de inmovilizar los aviones de los modelos A330 y A340 para el cambio de las sondas de velocidad que se va a realizar tras el siniestro el pasado día 1 del vuelo de Air France entre Rio de Janeiro y París.
"No hay ninguna razón para detener las operaciones de esos aviones", subrayó hoy un portavoz de Airbus al ser preguntado por una información del periódico francés Le Figaro según la cual el constructor se planteaba inmovilizar los alrededor de un millar de A330 y A340 que tienen en sus flotas las compañías aéreas por todo el mundo.
El fabricante europeo había emitido una recomendación en 2007 sobre el cambio de los instrumentos de medida de la velocidad en esos modelos de aeronaves, pero insistió en que dicha sustitución "no es una obligación".
Es más, puso el acento en que "todos los A330 y los A340 están certificados para operar" y "pueden seguir funcionando con las sondas originales".
Un fallo de las sondas ha sido citado como una de las posibles causas del accidente aunque el Buró de Investigación y Análisis (BEA) ha insistido en que con los elementos disponibles por ahora no se puede decir qué ocurrió.
El BEA, responsable de las pesquisas técnicas sobre el malogrado vuelo de Air France, ni siquiera ha querido descartar totalmente la hipótesis de un acto terrorista.
