El alcalde de Yebra (Guadalajara), Juan Pedro Sánchez, del PP, ha celebrado que Ascó (Tarragona) presente su candidatura a albergar el Almacén Temporal Centralizado (ATC) y se ha "solidarizado" con el alcalde de este municipio de las Tierras del Ebro.
En declaraciones a RAC 1 recogidas por Efe, Sánchez ha expresado todo su "cariño y apoyo" hacia el alcalde de Ascó, Rafel Vidal, de CiU, a quien considera "un buen amigo" y que ahora está "sufriendo" el mismo aluvión de críticas que tuvo que soportar él por aspirar a que su municipio acoja el cementerio nuclear.
Un par de horas antes de que el pleno municipal de Ascó haya ratificado su decisión de presentar su candidatura, Sánchez ha hablado telefónicamente con Vidal para transmitirle su "apoyo, cariño y solidaridad".
"Competiremos deportivamente", ha prometido el alcalde de Yebra, que no ha escondido su "alegría" por el hecho de que Ascó quiera optar también a acoger en sus tierras el almacén nuclear.
Sánchez, por otra parte, ha admitido que le "dolería bastante" recibir una sanción por parte de la dirección de su partido aunque respetará cualquier decisión que tome: "soy del PP por todas las partes de mi cuerpo, llevo 23 años de militancia", ha resaltado.
Según Sánchez, "sería conveniente" que los dirigentes de todos los partidos "observasen la realidad" de sus municipios y tuviesen "más información sobre el tema" de la energía nuclear.
