Los ex miembros de las juventudes de ERC (JERC) acusados de amenazar de muerte al líder de Ciutadans, Albert Rivera, han aceptado un año y diez meses de cárcel y tendrán que indemnizar al político y su mujer con 2.500 euros.
La pena ha sido finalmente por un delito de amenazas, mientras que la Fiscalía pedía inicialmente dos años de prisión por un delito de atentado a la autoridad por intimidación grave a un miembro de la Asamblea Legislativa para los dos jóvenes, que en aquel momento eran militantes de las JERC.
Los hechos ocurrieron en septiembre de 2007 cuando Josep Maria E.V. y Jordi G.F. amenazaron de muerte al líder de Ciutadans enviándole a su casa una carta y una foto suya pintada de rojo y con un cartucho de bala en la frente.
