La apelación del Real Madrid para evitar la tarjeta roja y los dos partidos de suspensión a Cristiano Ronaldo ha sido rechazada, dijo la Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) el jueves.
Tras considerar los argumentos del Real Madrid, el comité de apelación de la Federación decidió mantener la sanción y una multa de 600 euros para el portugués, comunicó la RFEF en su página web (www.rfef.es).
El Real Madrid ha dicho que si falla la apelación recurrirá al Comité Español de Disciplina Deportiva (CEDD), un órgano supervisado por el Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).
Esto puede suponer que se conceda una cautelar que permita a Manuel Pellegrini disponer de Ronaldo para la visita del sábado al Deportivo de La Coruña, quinto clasificado.
Ronaldo fue expulsado por roja directa en la victoria por 2-0 del domingo pasado ante el Málaga en el Bernabéu tras golpear al defensa Patrick Mtiliga con el brazo fracturándole la nariz.
El Comité de Competición decidió que las acciones de Ronaldo no fueron intencionadas, lo que podría haber supuesto una suspensión mayor, pero fue acusado de juego peligroso.
Ronaldo se disculpó ante Mtiliga inmediatamente después de acabar el partido pero dijo que la tarjeta roja fue "una vergüenza" e insistió que él nunca ha intentado hacer daño a ningún compañero.
Ha sido su segunda expulsión de la temporada tras la recibida ante el Almería en diciembre por golpear a un rival tras ser amonestado por quitarse la camiseta al celebrar un gol.
