El presidente de la Federación Nacional de Trabajadores Autónomos (ATA), Lorenzo Amor, manifestó hoy su negativa a la propuesta del Consejo de Ministros de la Unión Europea (UE) de ampliar a 65 horas semanales la jornada de trabajo por suponer un recorte social "importante".
Así reaccionó ATA a la decisión tomada esta madrugada por los representantes de Trabajo de la UE, que acordaron por mayoría cualificada ampliar los límites de la jornada laboral para que un empleado pueda trabajar hasta un máximo de 65 horas semanales, si así lo acuerda con el empresario.
En este sentido, Amor declaró no entender la postura de la UE, que por un lado establece directivas que fomentan la conciliación de la vida laboral y familiar, y al mismo tiempo considera ampliar la jornada laboral.
Si se aprobara la medida por el Parlamento Europeo, según Amor, los trabajadores autónomos trabajarán por encima de los asalariados y superarán así las 52 horas semanales que ahora realizan.
