El Grupo Banca Cívica, compuesto inicialmente por Caja Navarra, Caja Canarias y Caja de Burgos, dijo el viernes que ha presentado el plan estratégico de integración al Banco de España y prevé consolidar sus cuentas al cierre del primer trimestre, según un comunicado.
"El Grupo Banca Cívica (...) tiene previsto presentar toda la documentación necesaria para la integración en la segunda quincena de enero y someter la operación a aprobación de los órganos de gobierno de las cajas en la segunda quincena de febrero. De este modo, el Grupo podría consolidar cuentas al cierre del primer trimestre de este año", según el comunicado colgado en el sitio web de Caja Navarra.
Caja Baleares ("Sa Nostra"), la cuarta entidad y última en sumarse a esta fusión, se incorporará posteriormente y podría consolidar sus cuentas "previsiblemente a finales del primer semestre", debido a que para cerrar el proceso todavía hay documentación en fase de estudio.
La fórmula de integración elegida para esta fusión es un grupo económico consolidado (GEC) o sistema institucional de protección (SIP) y nace con activos conjuntos de 60.000 millones, según datos de la Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorros (CECA).
El modelo denominado SIP permite a las cajas que se integran mantener la personalidad jurídica y sus órganos de gobierno y el compromiso con sus territorios, como la obra social.
