Karim Benzema, delantero internacional francés del Real Madrid, regresó a la dinámica de grupo recuperado de la gastroenteritis que le impidió entrenarse ayer, y forma parte de la lista de convocados de Manuel Pellegrini para el amistoso que el Real Madrid jugará en Tirana (Albania) ante el Gramozi Ersekë.
Manuel Pellegrini repite la lista de 18 convocados que ofreció para jugar en Bilbao ante el Athletic Club, con Benzema recuperado de la gastroenteritis que arrastraba y sin Mahamadou Diarra, que tras ser eliminado de la Copa de África con Mali, no llegará a tiempo.
El Real Madrid ingresará alrededor de 2,5 millones de euros por jugar la tercera edición de la Taci Oil Cup el miércoles en Albania. No viajarán los lesionados Pepe, Rafael Van der Vaart, Gonzalo Higuaín y Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
La lista de convocados la forman: Iker Casillas, Dudek, Sergio Ramos, Albiol, Garay, Metzelder, Arbeloa, 'Lass', Xabi Alonso, Gago, Marcelo, Kaká, Guti, Granero, Drenthe, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raúl y Benzema.
Los jugadores viajarán a Tirana, jugarán y regresarán en el mismo día. Se darán un madrugón, ya que están citados a las 08:15 horas de la mañana en la ciudad deportiva de Valdebebas para dirigirse al aeropuerto de Barajas, que volverán a pisar de vuelta a última hora de la noche tras jugar a las 18.00 horas en el Qemal Stafa Stadium.
Pellegrini mantiene la habitual hora de trabajo para el jueves. Pensando ya en el próximo encuentro de Liga ante el Málaga, la plantilla blanca se ejercitará desde las 10:30 horas en su ciudad deportiva.
