El ministro de Fomento, José Blanco, afirmó este jueves que "no me siento un rey mago" de la inversión pública en infraestructuras, para defender que el departamento que dirige no es "sólo inversor".
En una entrevista en TVE, Blanco destacó que Fomento es "un auténtico Ministerio de Estado porque es a través de la infraestructuras como se contribuye a la vertebración territorial de España".
El nuevo titular de Fomento reconoció que le sorprende "toda la parafernalia que hay en torno al ministro", algo que asegura le "hubiera gustado eliminar" ya que sus "colaboradores más directos están a no menos de 100 metros de distancia" en la sede del Ministerio.
En este sentido, afirmó sentirse un "poco aislado" en el Ministerio y confesó que le hubiera tirar algunos tabiques, aunque es algo que ha descartado porque "tenemos que ser muy austeros" y "destinar todos los recursos a los desafíos que tiene este momento el país".
El ministro reiteró que no distinguirá a la hora de planificar inversiones por el color político de la región, ya que las infraestucturas exigen planificación a medio y largo plazo y por ello no se puede hacer en función del partido que gobierna.
Así, quiso dejar claro que no ha venido a Fomento a "hacer una planificación en función de los intereses del PSOE" y sí "de los intereses del país".
Por otra parte, el ministro de Fomento se refirió a la defensa que hizo ayer el aún secretario de Estado de Economía, David Vegara, de que el ex vicepresidente Solbes y su equipo han "trabajado a tope".
Para Blanco, el imprimir más ritmo significa "tomar decisiones que están pendientes" y hacerlo "con más celeridad".
"No podemos estar mucho tiempo discutiendo sobre temas que requieren determinación", agregó.
