Toronto Raptors utilizó el fuerte juego de Chris Bosh y Andrea Bargnani para sobreponerse y ganar a Dallas Mavericks por 110-88 el domingo.
Bosh anotó 23 puntos y 13 rebotes y Bargnani añadió 22 puntos para que Toronto ganara por séptima vez en sus últimos ocho partidos. José Manuel Calderón aportó por su parte 15 puntos y brindó siete asistencias en 23 minutos.
Toronto se sobrepuso a un resultado deficitario de 23-20 en el primer periodo y superó a los Mavericks por 16 puntos en el segundo cuarto. Los anfitriones estuvieron tranquilos con el resultado el resto del partido, liderando el encuentro por hasta 26 puntos en el cuarto final.
''Fue una gran victoria para nosotros contra el segundo mejor equipo del Oeste'', dijo el extremeño Calderón. ''Jugamos durante 48 minutos, todos estaban listos para jugar y hacer cosas en la pista''.
"Salimos preparados y no tuvimos ningún fallo'', dijo por su parte su compañero en Toronto Jarrett Jack, que anotó 11 puntos y ofreció siete asistencias.
La defensa impresionó especialmente al entrenador de los Raptors. Jay Triano.
En el otro partido del domingo, Denver Nuggets superó a Utah Jazz 119-112 con la brillante actuación de Carmelo Anthony, que anotó 37 puntos y capturó ocho rebotes para los Nuggets.
