Morrissey, el ex líder de la banda inglesa The Smiths, ha regresado a los escenarios después de desmayarse durante un concierto en Reino Unido el fin de semana pasado.
Morrissey actuó el martes en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres, bromeando sobre su reciente desmayo.
El cantante de 50 años fue trasladado a un hospital de Swindon después de sufrir dificultades para respirar y desplomarse el sábado durante un concierto en esa localidad del sur de Inglaterra. Pasó la noche en el hospital como medida de precaución.
Según la BBC, al presentarse el martes ante el público de Londres, Morrissey fingió desmayarse antes de ponerse de pie y decir: "¡Gracias, Swindon!".
La taciturna estrella habló brevemente sobre su colapso, indicó la BBC, diciendo al público que abarrotaba el recinto: "El doctor dijo que no debería sonreír. Le respondí, 'No lo hago'".
Morrissey canceló este año varias fechas de su gira debido a problemas de salud, con la presentación en el Royal Albert Hall reprogramada desde mayo.
La gira de Morrissey debería seguir por el resto de Europa el mes que viene con conciertos en Holanda, Francia, Bélgica, Alemania e Irlanda. En diciembre actuará en Estados Unidos.
The Smiths saltó a la fama en los años 80 con sus sombrías pero sardónicas letras y tuvieron un serie de éxitos incluyendo "What Difference Does it Make" y "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now", antes de separarse en 1988.
