El cantante venezolano Carlos Baute afirmó hoy en Tenerife que es contrario a la política del presidente de Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, por lo que se declaró "antichavista", aunque apuntó que va a realizar algunas actuaciones en su país.
Carlos Baute se expresó así en una rueda de prensa celebrada en la capital tinerfeña en la que se le preguntó por su opinión en relación a las declaraciones y a la prohibición del presidente de Venezuela de que actuase en el país Alejandro Sanz.
El cantante se mostró en favor del artista español y afirmó que nadie "tiene que cortar la libertad de expresión" de un artista, "que es lo único que tenemos".
Entre las actuaciones que realizará en Venezuela para presentar su último disco "De mi puño y letra", señaló Baute, hay una que es "muy importante y especial" y es la gala de elección de "Miss Venezuela".
El cantante venezolano manifestó además que "le da tristeza" que Latinoamérica con toda la riqueza que hay, no sólo en petróleo sino también en oro o en materias primas, se viva en la situación actual de pobreza, "por las acciones que llevan a cabo algunos tontos con poder que todos conocemos".
