El Benfica ha fichado al centrocampista español Javi García, del Real Madrid, en una operación de siete millones de euros, informó hoy el club a la Comisión del Mercado de Valores Mobiliarios lusa, mediante un comunicado.
El club portugués indicó que ha llegado a un "principio de acuerdo con García para firmar un contrato de trabajo durante las próximas cinco temporadas".
Antes de firmar el contrato con el Benfica, el centrocampista español, cuya cláusula de rescisión será de 30 millones de euros, se someterá a los exámenes médicos.
Procedente de la cantera del Real Madrid, Javi García, de 22 años, se reencontrará en el club lisboeta con el fichaje estrella del equipo, el argentino Javier Saviola, con quien compartió vestuario en el conjunto merengue la última temporada.
