La CEOE achaca a los salarios y al elevado coste de los despidos que la destrucción de empleo en España sea mucho mayor que en el resto de los países de la Unión Europea.
Así lo señaló el presidente de la Comisión de Economía de la CEOE, José Luis Feito, durante la jornada "Los desafíos del mercado laboral en España" organizada por la Asociación de Periodistas de Información Económica (APIE) y la Fundación Rafael del Pino.
Según Feito, si durante una recesión económica no se moderan los salarios y no se sitúan en línea con la productividad de las empresas habrá una masiva destrucción de empleo y será imposible avanzar en un nuevo modelo productivo.
El directivo de la CEOE subrayó que es difícil encontrar en el mundo un mercado laboral tan "plagado de distorsiones" y donde se oigan tantas "falacias" como en el español.
"Las causas vienen de lejos", dijo Feito, quien añadió que entre otros factores, se deben a una estructura de negociación colectiva con cláusulas de revisión de salarios que no tienen en cuenta ni la inflación ni la situación económica "sea cual sea".
