El vicepresidente tercero del Gobierno, Manuel Chaves, ha explicado hoy que el nuevo Fondo Local para el empleo y la sostenibilidad social, que previsiblemente se aprobará el 23 de octubre en Consejo de Ministros, se repartirá de acuerdo al criterio de población, lo que supondrá 109 euros por habitante.
En comparecencia de prensa tras presidir una reunión con los delegados del Gobierno, Chaves ha informado de que el decreto-ley se aprobará en la citada fecha, una vez que concluya, esta misma semana, el proceso de diálogo abierto con los grupos parlamentarios, sindicatos, la Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias y las entidades bancarias.
Chaves ha recordado que el nuevo Fondo ha fijado en un 15 por ciento, es decir 750 millones de euros, los gastos corrientes de los ayuntamientos, básicamente educación y dependencia, pero ha subrayado que el Gobierno está dispuesto a "flexibilizar" este porcentaje y para ello, ha dicho, están abiertos a hablar con los partidos políticos.
Ha explicado que con el fondo vigente el Gobierno adelanta el 70 por ciento y al terminar la obra los ayuntamientos abonan el 30 por ciento restante pero, según ha estimado, este sistema ha planteado a las corporaciones "problemas serios de tesorería".
Por ello, Chaves ha propuesto que el Ejecutivo aumente el primer adelanto del 70 al 80 por ciento y que el 20 por ciento restante se negocie con las entidades bancarias que adelantarían los pagos, de ahí la reunión prevista para esta semana.
