El presidente de Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, reveló hoy que en la visita que efectuó esta semana a Cuba, Fidel Castro le advirtió que "el imperialismo arrecia su ofensiva y va a atacar por todas partes", incluso contra su propia vida.
"Todos los días veo la batalla que estás dando allá (en Venezuela) y veo que el imperialismo arrecia su ofensiva; no te extrañes de ningún ataque (...); cuidado que pueden tratar de matarte, están desesperados porque la revolución bolivariana sigue su marcha", dijo Chávez citando a Castro.
Chávez señaló que una oficina gubernamental de Estados Unidos acusa a funcionarios de la cancillería de Caracas de tener vínculos con el grupo Hizbulah, esto, agregó, con el fin de llevarlo (a Chávez) a un tribunal internacional.
Se trata de una acusación que afecta "a Venezuela, a nuestro Gobierno y a mí", prosiguió el gobernante venezolano en un acto de su Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV) en el estado de Táchira, fronterizo con Colombia, televisado por las emisoras estatales.
"¡A ver si pueden, a ver si el mundo se presta a una jugada contra nosotros!", exclamó y alertó que en ese caso "les saldría bien caro a los jugadores de una jugarreta como ésta", que vaticinó está condenada de antemano al fracaso porque "el mundo de hoy ya no es el mismo de hace 30 ó 50 años, al que manipulaban y engañaban".
También denunció que sus opositores, "cumpliendo instrucciones del imperio norteamericano", intentarán "generar una crisis económica y social (...); y ya están tratando de incendiar las calles con protestas ante cualquier hecho, magnificándolo por sus canales de televisión", y asimismo "utilizando algunos de los errores que cometemos de cuando en cuando".
En la misma alocución condenó que en una zona de Bolivia "que pretende separarse" fueran liberadas dos personas que supuestamente se aprestaban a perpetrar hoy un magnicidio contra de su colega boliviano, Evo Morales.
