El jugador checo Jiri Jarosik, veintitrés veces internacional con la selección de su país, se ha convertido en el tercer fichaje invernal del Real Zaragoza tras los del portugués Eliseu y del chileno Suazo.
Jarosik es un jugador polivalente que puede actuar de central y de medio centro que cuenta con una importante experiencia en equipos de las principales ligas europeas.
El internacional por la República Checa ha ganado la liga en cuatro países diferentes (Inglaterra, Escocia, República Checa y Rusia).
Jiri Jarosik comenzó su carrera profesional en la temporada 1996-97 en el Sparta de Praga, posteriormente ha pasado por el Slovan Liberec (1997-98), Sparta de Praga (1998-2003 ), CSKA Moscú (2003-04), Chelsea (2004-05), Birmingham City (2005-06), Celtic de Glasgow (2006-08) y Krylya Sovetov Samara (2008-10).
