Si el 21% de intención de voto que le dan las encuestas al cineasta Fernando Pino Solanas en la capital argentina se confirman en las urnas el próximo domingo, este artista de 73 años pondrá en jaque a los gurús de la comunicación política que ganan millones de pesos. Cámara digital en mano, el director de Argentina latente y Memoria del saqueo hizo campaña con lo que mejor sabe hacer: cine denuncia. Solanas es candidato a diputado nacional para el distrito de la capital federal. Los sondeos le ponen en segundo lugar detrás de la candidata conservadora, Gabriela Michetti.
Solanas labró su fama cuando filmó el estado calamitoso de algunos hospitales y escuelas de la capital. "Habría que condenar a los funcionarios a largos años de enfermedad como pacientes de un hospital así", disparó el líder de Proyecto Sur al pronunciarse sobre la gestión del alcalde Mauricio Macri.
Férreo crítico del ex presidente Carlos Menem cuando todos querían una foto con él, Pino Solanas hace lo propio con el actual Gobierno: denuncia que el Ejecutivo no haya firmado la Ley de Glaciares para proteger la mayor fuente de agua dulce del país de la explotación a cielo abierto de las mineras. También critica el apoyo de Néstor Kirchner a la privatización de YPF cuando era gobernador de Santa Cruz.
