El Barcelona mantiene la certeza de que la opinión de su nuevo entrenador, Josep Guardiola, sobre Ronaldinho, Deco y Eto'o, jugadores con los que no contará para la próxima temporada, no devaluará el precio de las tres grandes estrellas del Barcelona de los últimos años.
Guardiola dejó claro durante su presentación como técnico azulgrana que no contempla un equipo con Ronaldinho, Deco y Eto'o; pero el club cree que estos jugadores podrán ser traspasados a un precio razonable "en la medida en la que todo el mundo ya sabe que están en el mercado", en palabras de Ferran Soriano, vicepresidente económico del Barcelona.
"Pero no hemos cerrado la puerta a que se queden, si no hay ofertas, seguirán y Guardiola les tendrá en cuenta", añadió el directivo azulgrana.
En contra de lo expresado por Deco, Soriano negó que el club haya fijado ya un precio definitivo para cada uno de los jugadores que intentará traspasar y aseguró que la prioridad para reforzar la plantilla es la contratación de un delantero centro "sin más límites presupuestarios que el sentido común".
Cuestionado por la posibilidad de que el Real Madrid abone 90 ó 100 millones de euros por el portugués del Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo, Soriano fue explícito: "ése sería un buen ejemplo de lo que está fuera del sentido común".
Soriano, además, desvinculó la venta de Ronaldinho, Eto'o y Deco de la contratación de un nuevo delantero centro, "ya que el fichaje se puede producir antes de las ventas".
