El Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España ha expresado hoy su rechazo a la decisión del Canal de Isabel II de apartar al arquitecto Juan Navarro Baldeweg de la dirección de la obra de los Teatros del Canal, por entender que la causa, "desviaciones presupuestarias", no justifica la medida.
"La desviación presupuestaria que se alega como motivo, y que en modo alguno puede achacarse al arquitecto, al menos de modo exclusivo o determinante, no justifica una medida que compromete la coherencia de la obra final respecto a un proyecto de singular calidad (diseñado por el propio Baldeweg)", afirma el comunicado del Consejo.
El Canal de Isabel II anunció el pasado viernes que resolvía el contrato de Navarro Baldeweg para terminar las obras, ya que bajo su dirección habían surgido, según el organismo, "importantes defectos, carencias e imprevisiones, tal y como atestiguan los distintos informes elaborados por los servicios técnicos".
El Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España ha destacado que para la preservación de los "valores culturales" de la arquitectura es de "capital importancia" que el mismo profesional que elabora un proyecto sea el responsable de dirigir las obras para su ejecución.
