La Confederación Empresarial Vasca (Confebask) ha destacado el "alto grado de participación" en las elecciones celebradas ayer en la CEOE y "el amplio respaldo" recabado por el nuevo presidente de la patronal española, Juan Rosell.
En un comunicado, Confebask ha explicado que ya ha transmitido su enhorabuena al nuevo presidente de los empresarios españoles y le ha ofrecido "su total apoyo y colaboración" en la nueva etapa que se inicia y para la que le desea "el mayor de los éxitos".
Rosell, presidente la patronal catalana, fue elegido ayer presidente de la CEOE (Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales) en sustitución de Gerardo Díaz Ferrán, con 444 votos a favor frente a los 247 de su rival, Santiago Herrero.
Confebask anunció el pasado lunes que daba "plena libertad" de voto a sus representantes en la Asamblea General de la CEOE para designar al nuevo presidente de la patronal española.
De esta forma, la patronal vasca desatendió el llamamiento que le hizo días atrás la confederación empresarial vizcaína, Cebek, que, tras mostrar públicamente su apoyo a la candidatura de Rosell, pidió a Confebask que hiciera lo propio.
