El ministro de Trabajo e Inmigración, Celestino Corbacho, afirmó hoy que el paro seguirá subiendo en 2010, pero de forma "más atenuada" que en 2009.
Durante una entrevista en la Cadena Ser, Corbacho señaló que la destrucción de empleo fue "muy potente" en 2009 porque fue el año del "epicentro de la crisis económica" y cuando ésta tuvo sus efectos más devastadores sobre el empleo.
En opinión de Corbacho, tras dos años y medio de crisis, la salida "no será tan rápida" desde el punto de vista del empleo, ni en España ni en el resto de Europa y sus efectos durarán más de un año y medio.
El ministro auguró una subida del paro en enero de este año, porque es un mes en el que "históricamente se pierde empleo" y la media del paro es de unas 67.000 personas.
No obstante, auguró que la situación de enero de este año "se parecerá más" a la que había en 2008 (en ese año el desempleo subió en 132.378 personas en el mes) que a la de 2009 (cuando aumentó en 198.838).
Preguntado por la economía sumergida, dijo que no se debe "negar la realidad" y que existe "desde los Reyes Católicos", aunque no se pueda medir formalmente.
En este sentido, dijo que la vicepresidenta segunda y ministra de Economía, Elena Salgado, "tiene razón, y yo también" porque existen estudios internacionales que citan uno u otro porcentaje, y el valor es "el que cada uno le quiera dar".
