El pleno del Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear (CSN) se ha inclinado a favor de una prórroga de la operatividad de la central nuclear de Garoña (Burgos), pero de que ésta sea limitada, según fuentes próximas a las deliberaciones.
Los cinco consejeros del CSN (dos a propuesta del PSOE, dos del PP y uno de CiU) han concluido hoy el informe definitivo sobre la prórroga solicitada por el titular de la instalación nuclear, y han registrado el mismo en el Ministerio de Industria.
Sin embargo, la presidenta del CSN, Carmen Martínez Ten, no entregará en mano el informe al ministro de Industria, Miguel Sebastián, hasta el próximo lunes, y a continuación comparecerá ante los medios de comunicación, junto al resto de consejeros, para presentar el contenido y los detalles del dictamen.
La prórroga "limitada" del funcionamiento de la central burgalesa podría seguir un esquema similar al de la central José Cabrera, en Almonacid de Zorita (Guadalajara), que cerró en 2006.
