El gobierno cubano liberó sin condiciones a dos presos políticos y dejó en libertad provisional a un empresario español detenido desde hace varias semanas, durante la visita a la isla del ministro de Exteriores de España, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, informaron fuentes diplomáticas.
Los presos políticos son Nelson Alberto Aguiar y Lázaro Angulo y el empresario es Pedro Hermosilla, por quien Moratinos se interesó porque lo conoce personalmente, dijeron las fuentes.
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores ha valorado hoy el "gesto" del régimen castrista. Pedro Hermosilla llevaba varias semanas en un centro penitenciario en Cuba acusado de un delito de cohecho.
Hermosilla, presidente del Grupo AGEM (Auxiliar General de Electromedicina, S.A.), fue detenido hace alrededor de un mes cuando se encontraba en la isla atendiendo los negocios que su empresa tiene en el país caribeño. Su empresa se dedica a la promoción y venta de materiales e instrumentos de laboratorio para la industria química, farmacéutica y hospitalaria.
Después de salir del centro de seguridad, Hermosilla se encuentra en su domicilio y tendrá que permanecer en la isla hasta la celebración del juicio, que todavía no tiene fecha, según las fuentes.
Exteriores ha subrayado que la puesta en libertad provisional no implica el archivo de los cargos que le imputa el régimen castrista. Moratinos conoce personalmente a Hermosilla porque formó parte de la delegación de empresarios que le acompañó en el viaje que hizo a Guinea Ecuatorial el pasado mes de julio.
En aquella ocasión, el presidente del Grupo AGEM cerró un contrato para abrir varios bancos de sangre en Guinea Ecuatorial.
