El argentino Héctor Cúper, entrenador del Aris de Salónica, declaró esta noche, tras vencer en el Vicente Calderón al Atlético de Madrid (2-3), que fue un "triunfo histórico" de su equipo y que era el momento de disfrutarlo.
"Estamos contentos. Ha venido mucha gente de Grecia y siempre la ilusión y el factor humano juegan cosas importantes, más allá de la estrategia. Hemos dado todo lo que tenemos y también hemos la cuota de suerte necesaria, porque tuvimos momentos muy difíciles, sobre todo en el segundo tiempo", dijo el técnico.
"La ilusión y la entrega de mi equipo han sido increíbles. Más no teníamos. Se han dado una serie de coincidencias para ganar un partido. Esto tiene mucho valor porque delante había un gran equipo. Nos vamos contentos. Estamos felices. Es una victoria histórica".
Sobre las posibilidades de su equipo, que ya depende de sí mismo para pasara de ronda, señaló que sería un error pensar que ya están clasificados.
"Todavía falta un partido. Hay que tener calma y disfrutar de este momento y luego preparar el siguiente partido. El peor error es creer que esta ganado antes de jugar", concluyó.
