El presidente de la Junta de Castilla y León, Juan Vicente Herrera, ha inaugurado esta tarde la nueva Delegación de la Agencia Efe en León, una iniciativa puesta en marcha por esta compañía con el fin de ofrecer un servicio informativo diferenciado de la provincia en los distintos soportes en los que trabaja.
Acompañado por el presidente de Efe, Álex Grijelmo, Herrera ha hecho un recorrido por las instalaciones de esta oficina multimedia, que pretende erigirse en punto de lanzamiento de noticias al resto del mundo.
El presidente castellanoleonés ha conocido en el acto inaugural el funcionamiento de esta delegación, situada en la céntrica Avenida Ordoño II, en el mismo edificio donde se encuentran las instalaciones de Radio Televisión Española.
La visita ha estado guiada por el nuevo delegado de Efe en León, el periodista leonés Tomás Álvarez, que ingresó la compañía en 1973 y fue director del departamento de Economía hasta hace unos meses.
Al lugar han acudido también el consejero Portavoz de la Junta, José Antonio de Santiago; el consejero de Fomento, Antonio Silván; el director general de Comunicación, Ángel Losada; la directora de Radio Televisión de Castilla y León, Celsa Villanueva, así como el director del departamento de Nacional de EFE, Javier Tovar, entre otros.
