El dólar se estabilizaba en Asia el miércoles, respaldado por las realizaciones de beneficio en divisas con tipos de interés más altos y ligadas a las materias primas tras caer la víspera a su nivel más bajo en 14 meses frente a una cesta de divisas.
Los operadores dijeron que los inversores realizaron beneficios en monedas como el dólar canadiense y de Nueva Zelandia, que tocaron la víspera su nivel más alto en 15 meses, y la libra esterlina.
Gracias a estas tomas de beneficio, el dólar repuntó desde un mínimo en 14 meses frente al euro después de que la moneda única no fuera capaz de superar la víspera la cota psicológica de 1,50 dólares.
La divisa estadounidense se veía también respaldado por realizaciones de beneficio en algunas monedas de Asia tras una caída de los mercados en Brasil por las noticias de un nuevo impuesto sobre inversiones extranjeras destinado a frenar la apreciación del real brasileño.
El índice del dólar frente a una cesta de seis de las principales divisas cotizaba plano a 75,565 tras caer la víspera un mínimo en 14 meses de 75,103.
A las 08:20 horas, el dólar cotizaba a $1,4933/34 por euro y a 90,69/70 yenes.
