Fiscales federales de Estados Unidos acusaron a un hombre de Massachusetts de conspirar para proveer material de apoyo a terroristas, diciendo que viajó a Oriente Próximo junto a otras personas para buscar entrenamiento y discutir el ataque a un centro comercial.
Además, habrían visto y distribuido videos sobre la "yihad" o guerra santa.
Tarek Mehanna, de 27 años, de Sudbury, Massachusetts, había sido acusado en enero de 2009 de falso testimonio ante la Oficina Federal de Investigaciones y otros altos cargos en conexión con una investigación sobre terrorismo, dijo el miércoles el Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos en un comunicado.
