El entrenador del Valencia, Unai Emery, afirmó que el empate ante Osasuna (3-3) fue un resultado justo en un partido al que a su equipo le faltó personalidad y carácter y le sobró miedo.
"Ha sido un partido con un tiempo para cada equipo, pero en la segunda parte no supimos dominar los empujes de Osasuna y el miedo a empatar, nos hizo empatar", dijo.
A Emery le preocupa que Osasuna haya sido capaz de imponer su juego en Mestalla. "Tenemos que ser autocríticos y fortalecernos para evitar el cúmulo de despropósitos del segundo tiempo, en el que nos ha escapado el encuentro", dijo Emery, quien a pesar e la falta de continuidad, considera que el equipo fue superior en la primera parte.
"Nos queda trabajo por hacer en situaciones como ésta y nos queda recuperarnos. El miedo llegó incluso antes de la sustitución de Banega por Dealbert, porque entonces ya teníamos perdido el centro del campo", dijo Emery, quien admitió el disgusto del público por el juego del equipo.
Para Emery, el Valencia no puede bajar en su exigencia y hoy en la segunda parte se vino abajo. "Esta carencia no está generalizada, sino que ha sido una cuestión de hoy", añadió.
