La 1 emitirá el sábado, a las 10.00 horas, el especial El Papa responde. Se trata de una edición del programa italiano En su imagen que se emitirá un día antes en la RAI, en el que Benedicto XVI responderá a cuestiones planteadas por los ciudadanos sobre diversos aspectos de la fe católica.
Es la primera vez que un pontífice responde a las preguntas directas de los fieles. Ratzinger contestará a seis cuestiones. La primera se la planteará una niña japonesa y será sobre "el sentido del dolor, en base a la vida y a las enseñanzas de Jesús", después del terremoto y tsunami que arrasó su país.
La segunda pregunta será realizada por una madre que desde hace dos años cuida de su pequeño en coma, que preguntará al papa dónde está ahora "el alma de su hijo".
