Entre enero y marzo de 2009 desaparecieron 88.472 empresas españolas, de las que el 99,8 por ciento eran pymes, según se desprende del Análisis trimestral de la actividad económica y del empleo de las pequeñas y medianas empresas realizado por CEPYME.
Según el citado estudio, durante el mismo periodo de tiempo, el número de trabajadores que prestaban sus servicios en las empresas se redujo en 1.078.000 personas.
Añade que la afiliación al Régimen Especial de Autónomos descendió en 140.300 personas, el 4,1 por ciento menos que un año antes.
Sobre este asunto, puntualiza que aunque hay una caída de la afiliación "significativa" en este colectivo, hay que tener en cuenta que enero de 2008 se produjo la incorporación de los trabajadores por cuenta propia del Régimen Agrario al de los Autónomos, por lo que los datos pueden estar afectados por este cambio estadístico.
El análisis de CEPYME también indica que por tamaño de las empresas, aquellas que ocupaban entre 1 y 2 trabajadores se redujeron en el primer trimestre de 2009 en 23.552 sociedades.
Aquellas de 3 a 5 trabajadores bajaron en 24.529 sociedades; las de 6 a 9 trabajadores, en 14.078; las de 10 a 25 trabajadores, en 17.372; las de 26 y 49 trabajadores disminuyeron en 5.996, y las de 50 a 249 trabajadores lo hicieron en 2.783.
