España firmará hoy un acuerdo con el Tribunal de Justicia de la UE, con sede en Luxemburgo, para permitir que los ciudadanos españoles se puedan dirigir a esta institución en catalán-valenciano, gallego y euskera.
El secretario de Estado para la UE, Diego López Garrido, será el encargado de suscribir el memorando en Luxemburgo junto con el secretario del Tribunal, Roger Grass, según informa en un comunicado el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores.
Los ciudadanos que empleen las lenguas cooficiales en sus escritos remitidos a la institución tendrán derecho a ser respondidos en la misma lengua, tal como ya sucede con el Parlamento, la Comisión y el Consejo Europeos.
El reglamento lingüístico comunitario no considera como oficiales al catalán-valenciano, euskera y gallego, aunque el Gobierno comenzó a suscribir acuerdos en 2005 para permitir su uso en los escritos de los ciudadanos, asumiendo los gastos derivados de las traducciones.
