El estadounidense Lance Armstrong (Astana), vencedor en siete ocasiones del Tour de Francia, ha vuelto a su país para participar en la clásica de Nevada (California) el próximo domingo como preparación al Tour de Francia, que se disputará del 4 al 26 julio.
Lance Armstrong, a sus 37 años y después de tres años sin competir, volvió a la competición con la intención de reverdecer laureles y en su "debut" en las grandes, en el Giro logró un duodécimo puesto demostrando que sin encontrarse en su mejor momento mantiene un cierto nivel.
El americano no lo tendrá nada fácil en la carrera francesa, pues en su equipo tendrá que compartir galones con el español Alberto Contador, ganador del Tour'07.
