Las exportaciones de los países del euro cayeron un 22% durante los ocho primeros meses de año en comparación con el mismo período del año anterior, mientras que las importaciones disminuyeron un 25%, según los datos difundidos hoy por Eurostat, la oficina estadística comunitaria.
Entre enero y agosto los países de la moneda única vendieron bienes al exterior por valor de 817.800 millones de euros y gastaron 812.700 millones de euros en productos extranjeros, lo que arroja un superávit de 5.200 millones de euros.
Este superávit contrasta con el déficit de 40.500 millones de euros registrado en el mismo periodo del año anterior, cuando las exportaciones alcanzaron 1,045 billones de euros y las importaciones 1,085 billones.
