Las esperanzas al título del líder del campeonato de Fórmula Uno, Jenson Button, recibieron un importante impulso el miércoles cuando un tribunal de apelación de París dictaminó que el controvertido coche de Brawn GP era legal.
El tribunal de apelación de la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA) también dio el visto bueno a Toyota y Williams, cuyos coches usan similares difusores de dos niveles y que han sido criticados por los rivales, que aseguran que quebrantan el espíritu de las normas.
Button ha ganado las dos primeras pruebas de la temporada en Australia y Malasia tras superar las protestas de Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull y BMW-Sauber.
Los cuatro equipos apelaron luego las decisiones de los jueces.
La FIA dijo en un comunicado que el tribunal, que se reunió en París durante todo el día el martes, decidió "negar las apelaciones remitidas".

"Basándonos en los argumentos y pruebas escuchadas, el tribunal ha concluido que la decisión de los jueces respecto a que los coches cumplían con las normas aplicables era la correcta", dice el comunicado.
Añadió que las razones se expondrían más en detalle posteriormente.
Button y su compañero de equipo, el brasileño Rubens Barrichello, parten ahora como favoritos para conseguir una tercera victoria de los Brawn en el Gran Premio de China del fin de semana, el tercero de la temporada.
Si el veredicto hubiera sido diferente, Button podría haberse quedado sin las victorias logradas hasta ahora, lo que habría sumido en la confusión al campeonato.
En su lugar, los equipos rivales tendrán que mejorar para lograr rediseñar sus propios vehículos.
