Las playas valencianas de La Malvarrosa y La Patacona han recibido esta tarde pequeños restos de fuel, más grandes en esta última, según han confirmado a EFE fuentes de la Delegación del Gobierno en la Comunitat Valenciana. Los restos proceden de la mancha que ayer fue descubierta por un pescador a dos kilómetros del Puerto de Valencia.
El personal de limpieza de la empresa pública TRAGSA, que estaba ya preparado desde ayer para actuar en caso de que fuera necesario, ha desplazado cuarenta unidades para realizar las labores de recogida de estos residuos, procedentes de la mancha de fuel que apareció ayer a dos kilómetros de la costa, que ya ha sido recogido.
En La Malvarrosa hay "pequeñas virutas" de fuel, mientras que en La Patacona, los restos son de mayor tamaño y alcanzan los cinco centímetros de diámetro pero están más esparcidos que en la primera playa.
En las playas de Las Arenas y El Cabanyal, en la misma línea costera de las afectadas, por el momento no han aparecido residuos de este tipo, como tampoco más allá de La Patacona, en dirección norte.
En las playas de La Malvarrosa y El Cabanyal, donde en un principio se vigilaba la llegada de posibles "galletas" procedentes de la mancha, permanece izada la bandera roja, ordenada desde ayer para prohibir el baño.
