Actualizado:
El Gobierno aprobó hoy una dotación de 4.700 millones de euros para el Fondo de Reserva de la Seguridad Social, según anunció la vicepresidenta primera del Gobierno, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, en la conferencia de prensa posterior al Consejo de Ministros.
De la Vega recordó que la denominada hucha de las pensiones cuenta con 56.000 millones de euros y añadió que terminará el año, "previsiblemente", con 60.000 millones.
La vicepresidenta señaló que este Fondo de Reserva fue creado en el año 2000 en cumplimiento con el Pacto de Toledo y destacó que "permite atenuar los efectos de los ciclos económicos bajos y garantizar el equilibrio financiero del sistema de pensiones".
