La ministra de Cultura, Ángeles González-Sinde, ha dicho hoy que la muerte cerebral del cantaor de flamenco Enrique Morente es una "pérdida inmensa para el país".
González-Sinde ha inaugurado hoy en Vitoria el primer encuentro sobre políticas de igualdad entre los sexos en los ámbitos del arte y la cultura.
Durante el acto de inauguración ha recibido la noticia de la muerte cerebral de Morente y, en declaraciones a los periodistas, se ha mostrado "conmocionada" por este hecho "tan terrible".
El cantaor de flamenco se encuentra en estado de muerte cerebral desde ayer, según han confirmado a Efe fuentes familiares.
Ha lamentado la situación del cantaor, una persona "tan importante en la cultura del país, en la evolución y transformación del flamenco, en la conquista de nuevos públicos; un maestro, una persona con una técnica vocal impecable".
La ministra ha recordado que estuvo en su actuación en el festival del cante de Las Minas el pasado mes de agosto, en un concierto "impresionante donde la gente mostraba casi un fervor místico" ante un "espectáculo maravilloso".
