El secretario de Estado para la Seguridad Social y responsable de asuntos económicos del PSOE, Octavio Granado, anunció hoy que ya hay un nivel de acuerdo "significativo" entre el Gobierno y el PP para aprobar el Fondo de Reestructuración y Ordenación Bancaria (FROB) que garantice un sistema "saneado".
Así lo estimó durante su intervención en las jornadas "El sistema financiero ante la crisis económica" organizadas por CCOO en el Consejo Económico y Social y en las que también participó el portavoz de economía del PP en el Congreso de los Diputados, Cristóbal Montoro.
Según Granado, el período de interlocución entre el PSOE y el PP para la creación de dicho Fondo debe "concluir en un plazo razonable de tiempo" y debe hacerse con un "estricto control de los fondos públicos aplicados" y con el "menor grado de intervencionismo posible".
Además, consideró que el Fondo debe ser acordado con el mayor grado político y social y con la colaboración de todas las comunidades autónomas.
Por su parte, Cristóbal Montoro consideró que la reestructuración financiera debe ser "seria y severa" y que no afectará sólo a "una o dos entidades" sino que conllevará una utilización de los recursos públicos de "decenas de miles de millones de euros".
Todas estas operaciones, insistió, se deben explicar a la sociedad para que entienda que "hay que arreglar las tuberías por las que discurre el crédito bancario en nuestro país" con el fin de que vuelva a llegar a familias y empresas.
