La sede madrileña de la organización SOS Racismo, dedicada a la lucha contra la discriminación por razones de color de piel, origen, culturales o religiosas, ha sido atacada esta madrugada por un grupo de extrema derecha, según ha denunciado la ONG a través de un comunicado.
La oficina, ubicada en un edificio de viviendas del barrio madrileño de Lavapiés, ha amanecido con un cartel en su fachada en el que se atacaba a la organización por defender los derechos de los inmigrantes. "¡Alto a la invasión!", puede leerse en la pancarta.
Además, denuncian desde SOS Racismo Madrid, los atacantes han colgado muñecos ahorcados en la sede y han intentado lanzar bengalas en el local. No obstante, nadie ha resultado herido.
"Esto supone una gravísima amenaza contra nuestros activistas y contra nuestra actividad de lucha a favor de los derechos humanos que no vamos a permitir. Además es un hecho de exaltación del fascismo y del odio al diferente que no estamos dispuestos a tolerar", señalan en un comunicado.
Fueron los vecinos del barrio, despertados por el olor a quemado, quienes avisaron a la Policía.
"Llevaremos a cabo las acciones legales pertinentes y denunciaremos estos actos antes las autoridades judiciales", han advertido los activistas.
