1 Usted presentó en Grecia una querella contra "los especuladores". Se aceptó a trámite, pero ha pasado casi un año sin avances. ¿Mantiene las esperanzas?
Este es un tema muy nuevo desde el punto de vista penal y la Fiscalía ha necesitado tiempo para estudiarlo. Pero ahora entiende técnicamente la responsabilidad criminal de los especuladores que manipulan en beneficio propio el mercado de deuda. Acaba de concluir la investigación del Ministerio Público y en ella ha participado incluso la Policía. Ahora veremos qué pasa.
2 ¿La querella se dirige a los "especuladores" en abstracto?
Señala a personas e instituciones específicas: Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Moody's, Standard & Poor's, etcétera. Ahí están nombres, apellidos y direcciones.
3 ¿Va a incorporar elementos de la querella española contra las agencias de rating?
En nuestra querella las agencias de rating ya estaban incluidas porque desempeñan un papel básico para ayudar a los especuladores. Pero entregaremos a los jueces la querella española para que se vea que el juego de la especulación es global y que todos nos enfrentamos al mismo tipo de mecanismos.
4 ¿Por qué elige la vía penal?
Porque es criminalidad financiera. Primero, los especuladores llevan a los países y a las empresas a la bancarrota y luego recogen ellos los beneficios del colapso, del paro, de la pobreza... Hemos creado una web para explicarlo en varios idiomas: www.stopspeculators.gr.
