El Ibex-35 abrió el viernes con nuevas pérdidas al continuar el descenso de los bancos ante las noticias adversas para el sector financiero procedente de EEUU.
"En su primera presentación sobre el proyecto de reforma de la regulación financiera, Obama anunció límites al tamaño y negocio bancario bajo el pretexto de evitar los elevados costes que para la economía han supuesto el rescate de los bancos 'demasiado grandes para caer'", resumió Banesto Bolsa.
En Madrid, Santander caía un 1,2 por ciento a 10,77 euros tras ceder la víspera un 4,2 por ciento.
BBVA bajaba otro 0,6 por ciento a 12,125 euros tras el descenso del 3,02 por ciento registrado el viernes.
Banesto Bolsa, que dudaba de que los planes de Obama lograsen los apoyos necesarios para su aprobación, dijo que la corrección actual por este motivo podría ser una oportunidad de compra".
El índice sector europeo de la banca bajaba esta mañana un 0,7 por ciento.
Bankinter retrocedía un 0,55 por ciento a 1.185,845 unidades.
Telefónica, detrás de Santander el segundo valor de mayor capitalización en Madrid, repetía cambio a 18,125 euros.
Acciona y ACS registraban incluso ligeras ganancias del orden del 0,3 por ciento, mientras que Iberia corregía un 1,7 por ciento a la baja tras la reciente racha alcista por las expectativas de que el acuerdo de fusión con British Airways se pueda cerrar en breve.
Fuera del Ibex, había dinero para las cadenas hoteleras Sol Melia y NH Hoteles, con alzas del 1,3 por ciento y del 2,0 por ciento, respectivamente.
