La Confederación de Nacionalidades Indígenas del Ecuador (Conaie) dio a conocer hoy su "profunda preocupación por el futuro de la nueva Constitución", ante la salida de Alberto Acosta, de la presidencia de la Asamblea Constituyente.
Mediante un comunicado la Conaie, la máxima organización indígena del país, señaló que la conducción de la Asamblea por parte de Acosta, que renunció ayer a la Presidencia de ese foro, fue "acertada, democrática, pluralista y participativa", desde la instalación de la Constituyente.
La Conaie lamentó la salida de Acosta de la Presidencia de la Asamblea y precisó que esa decisión es "producto de la permanente presión e injerencia desmedida por parte del Ejecutivo, que no ha respetado los plenos poderes y autonomía" de ese foro.
Para la Conaie la redacción de la nueva Constitución que se realiza desde el pasado 29 de noviembre en Montecristi, en la provincia costera de Manabí, en el oeste de Ecuador es un "desafío para todos".
La Conaie exigió, también, al presidente ecuatoriano, Rafael Correa, "ser consecuente con sus discursos, postulados de campaña y no diluya antes de tiempo su proyecto político de cambio".
El sector indígena anunció, además, la posibilidad de retirar de la Asamblea a sus representes tras un análisis que realizarán a la Asamblea Constituyente.
La Asamblea Constituyente aceptó hoy la renuncia de Alberto Acosta, del movimiento oficialista Acuerdo País, a la Presidencia de esa institución.
