Un inmigrante de origen subsahariano fue ingresado ayer en la Unidad de Vigilancia Intensiva (UVI) del Hospital Comarcal y otros dos atendidos en el Servicio de Urgencias después de intentar llegar a nado desde Marruecos a Melilla por la zona de Aguadú, según informaron a Europa Press fuentes policiales y sanitarias.
Los 'sin papeles', tres jóvenes del Africa subsahariana, fueron rescatados por un equipo del Grupo de Especialistas de Actividades Subacuáticas (GEAS) de la Guardia Civil y trasladados hasta tierra, donde fueron atendidos por el 061 y evacuados al hospital en ambulacia.
Los hechos ocurrieron pasadas las siete de la mañana del domingo cuando soplaba viento de poniente y el mar estaba tranquilo, aunque el agua estaba a una temperatura muy baja.
Este último hecho fue lo que provocó que en el trayecto que va desde el Cabo, desde la parte marroquí más cercana a Melilla, hasta Aguadú los tres subsaharianos sufrieran las complicaciones que llevaron a su ingreso hospitalario tras ser recogidos del mar por los agentes de los GEAS.
Uno de ellos es el que presentaba peor estado y requirió una atención más exhaustiva en la UVI, mientras los otros dos, tras ser inspeccionados médicamente, fueron dados de alta e ingresados en el Centro de Estancia Temporal de Inmigrantes (CETI), a la espera de que se complete el expediente de repatriación.
Se trata del primer intento de llegar a Melilla a nado desde el pasado verano, una circunstancia que podría incrementarse con la llegada del buen tiempo.
