La ciudad de Innsbruck, en el corazón del Tirol austríaco, espera la llegada de doce mil pasajeros de vuelo procedentes de España y Rusia hoy, en vísperas del encuentro que enfrentará a ambas selecciones en la primera jornada del D de la Eurocopa.
Para el martes, cuando se disputa este partido en Innsbruck, las autoridades esperan el arribo de un número aún mayor de hinchas, dijo en rueda de prensa Christoph Platzgummer, teniente alcalde de la ciudad y coordinador de la Eurocopa.
Innsbruck ha comenzado a llenarse de entusiastas del fútbol ya el pasado fin de semana, con cerca de 20.000 visitantes, y las autoridades están hasta ahora satisfechas con la situación.
Aparte de la detención de ocho personas por perturbación del orden y resistencia contra las autoridades estatales, no se han registrado incidentes importantes, ni tampoco problemas de tráfico, señaló el Director de Seguridad Hans Ebenbichler.
Por su parte, el comandante del servicio de ambulancias Heinz Wolf comunicó que hubo 81 personas atendidas, de las cuales 17 tuvieron que ser hospitalizadas, pero ninguna con heridas de gravedad.
Aseguró que los sanitarios están bien preparados para cualquier eventualidad que pueda ocurrir mañana, y que los colaboradores de la Cruz Roja contarán con ayuda del Ejército.
