Los internacionales del Barcelona y Real Madrid que se proclamaron campeones del mundo con la selección española en Sudáfrica no asistirán a la entrega de los Premios Príncipes de Asturias de los Deportes, que se celebrará el próximo viernes 22 de octubre en Oviedo.
Pep Guardiola y Jose Mourinho, entrenadores respectivos de ambos equipos, confirmaron hoy que no darán permiso a sus jugadores para asistir al acto, ya que ambos tienen partido de Liga al día siguiente, en Zaragoza el Barcelona y frente al Racing en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu el Real Madrid.
El capitán de la selección española que levantó el trofeo de campeón del Mundial en Johannesburgo, Iker Casillas, no podrá recoger el Príncipe de Asturias, como tampoco lo podrá hacer el goleador del Barcelona David Villa, especialmente querido en Asturias por haber nacido en esa comunidad del norte de España.
Mourinho aseguró que no es negociable la ausencia de sus internacionales españoles a horas del partido contra el Racing.
Guardiola entiende "que el premio es muy importante para la selección española", pero ha subrayado que sus jugadores un día antes, por la norma que impera en el club, tampoco podrán asistir al acto.
La entrega de los Premios Príncipe de Asturias se celebrará en Oviedo el próximo viernes 22 de octubre, en el Teatro Campoamor.
