La actriz estadounidense Lindsay Lohan será la estrella invitada al Baile de la Ópera de Viena de este año por el empresario vienés Richard Lugner.
Lohan, de 23 años, es conocida ante todo por haber actuado en películas de la productora Disney, aunque últimamente se ha hablado más de ella por sus supuestos excesos de drogas y alcohol. Hace poco fue condenada en su país por conducir en estado de ebriedad.
El Baile de la Ópera, que este año se celebra el 11 de febrero, atrae habitualmente a personalidades internacionales del mundo del espectáculo, la moda y la política.
Richard Lugner, conocido popularmente como "Mörtel" (Mortero) en la sociedad vienesa por ser propietario de empresas de construcción y estar presente en programas televisivos de farándula, invita desde 1991 a un personaje famoso a su palco en la ópera vienesa.
Entre sus anteriores invitadas destacaron Sofía Loren, Grace Jones, Claudia Cardinale, Jacqueline Bisset, Pamela Anderson, Andie MacDowell, Paris Hilton, Dita Von Teese y, el año pasado, Nicolette Sheridan.
Lindsay Lohan encabeza la octava lista anual de las cien mujeres más "sexys" de la revista británica Maxim, que incluye a Eva Longoria, Shakira, Penélope Cruz y Salma Hayek entre más de una decena de latinas.
En la pantalla grande, Lindsay Lohan debutó como protagonista con un éxito notable en "Tú a Londres y yo a California" (1998) y en "Herbie a toda marcha" (2005), pero fracasó estrepitosamente como consejera de una colección de moda de la casa Ungaro.
