Una mujer de 55 años murió anoche apuñalada por su marido en el aparcamiento de un centro comercial de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, según fuentes policiales.
El agresor, Francisco Luis R., de 58 años, fue localizado y detenido poco después.
La policía encontró un cuchillo de 25 centímetros cerca del lugar del crimen, han añadido las fuentes.
Los hechos ocurrieron sobre las 20:09 horas del lunes en el barrio de Hoya de la Plata, de la capital grancanaria.
El 112 recibió varias llamadas informando de que una mujer, identificada como Maximina R.D. había sido herida por arma blanca en un aparcamiento de un centro comercial.
Al llegar al lugar, el personal médico del Servicio de Urgencias Canarios constató que la mujer se encontraba en situación de parada cardiorrespiratoria y procedieron a aplicarle maniobras de reanimación cardiopulmonar básicas y avanzadas "sin que pudieran hacer nada por salvar su vida", según las fuentes.
Agentes del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía detuvieron al agresor poco después de los hechos en el interior de su vehículo.
Al parecer, podría haber intentado suicidarse, ya que se causó varias lesiones.
